Epic Airway Systems, Inc. is an early-stage medical device company that has created a new airway management solution that significantly advances patient care without requiring clinical trials to get to market.
Anesthesiologists, paramedics & emergency medicine physicians provide emergency and elective airway treatments to more than 50 million patients globally, maintaining breathing during emergencies or sedation during surgery.
Despite their frequency, these procedures are difficult to perform and are high-risk. Patient complications including cardiac events, dental injury and even death are common, adding billions of dollars annually to the US healthcare system; while also placing healthcare providers at risk of infectious disease exposure.
The Epic Airway® is a clinically differentiated airway device, combining two existing technologies for airway treatment into a single solution. Easier and more intuitive than traditional devices, our solution focuses on safety for patients and healthcare providers, as well as cost savings for healthcare systems.

The airway management industry has become overly complex and achieving positive solutions and results is less and less frequent. Through innovation, we seek to develop safer, simpler and more efficient airway management solutions. We strive to develop and market the next standard of care for airway management.
Our team brings over 50 years of industry experience developing and bringing medical devices to market, including the navigation of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) governance. While the founders have over five decades of clinical practice in airway treatment across surgical, emergency, and paramedic medicine, our executive team has a balance of business know-how and medical experience.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
The I-Corps Customer Discovery Program offered Epic Airway Systems customer discovery training and provided connections to mentors, both of which are critical to the success of any business. As an output of the program, formal Customer Discovery events were conducted, spanning 30 clinical subject matter experts, from fourteen institutions across eleven states to be used as the basis for the development of the Epic Airway.
The BenDaniel Venture Challenge (BVC) is Big Red Venture’s Annual Pitch Competition. On April 28th, 2022, Five finalists pitched their business ideas to an investor panel during Entrepreneurship at Cornell Celebration. Epic Airway Systems won the top cash prize of $25K.
As part of the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund, FuzeHub’s 2023 Commercialization Competition was held in Saratoga Springs on October 16th & 17th. Thirty NYS Companies competed to demonstrate the commercialization potential of their technology or product. Ten finalists competed over the two-day pitch event, with Epic Airway Systems garnering a first runner up and cash award of $50K.
